Briana Zhane’ Barnett was born on November 7, 1993, to Brian Barnett and Gloria Jackson. She grew up in the Kashmere Gardens community and attended J.C. McDade Elementary School, Francis Scott Key Middle School and graduated as a member of the National Honor Society from Barbara Jordan High School for Careers in June 2012.
Briana continued her education at Houston Community College, graduating in August 2016 with an Associate in Arts degree. She later decided to pursue a CDL license and graduated in June 2020, earning an Advanced Rigger Certification in November 2023, along with a Safe Road Certification in 2022.Briana worked for the U.S. Postal Service and earned certifications to work in plants across Texas. She chose to serve God at a young age at St. Rest Missionary Baptist Church, where she was an active member of the praise team and usher board.
With a deep understanding of empowerment, Briana became part of Divine Creations under the leadership of Dr. Vernia Caddie. She took on the challenge and was crowned the First Queen of this empowering organization for young ladies. Because of her dedication and community spirit, Briana was an active participant in the Phoenix Outreach under the leadership of former City Council Member Jarvis Johnson and former Member of the Texas House of Representatives, 139th District.

She will also be remembered lovingly by DaVeon Washington, Yashica Washington, Shenita Washington, Tre’Liyah Welch (Jonathan), Cassandra Williams, Reginald Washington, LaShawnda, Michael Washington, Evelyn Washington (Aunt Honey), Danya Henderson, Perry Francis, Willie Washington Jr., Neishia Francis, Devan Mack, Ajee Wallace, Kayla Knowles, Keebera Clemons, Vernon Cadwell, Compassion Anderson, Pastor Frances Wesson, Brenda Brown of Stockton, CA, as well as many more cousins and friends who were blessed to know and love her.
