Obituary

On January 28, 1954, in Dallas, Texas a precious baby girl was born to Florinza Jefferson brown and Sidney Henderson brown they named her Synda Delores Brown , though she was affectionally Known as Lois. From the very beginning, synda brought warmth, light and love into the lives of those around her.

Synda grew up in North Houston , where she attended J.C. Mc Dade Elementary, Northwood Junior High and M.B. Smiley High School.At an early age She Joined Kashmere Baptist Church , Where she accepted christ and gave her Life to him, establishing a Strong Spiritual Foundation that would guide her throughout her Life . She continued her spiritual life at Faith Temple , Tabernacle Of Faith and Greater Emmanuel until her health started failing .

As a young woman she married her high school sweetheart Micheal Carter in 1971 . From their union two beautiful daughters were born , Florence and Shapell Carter .Synda later found love again and married Jerry Martin Miller on February 14 , 1994 . Together they welcomed two children , a daughter , Jerri Carter and a son , Jerry Carter . Through both chapters of her life family was always the center of her heart .

Synda was preceded on death by her beloved husband Jerry Martin Miller , parents Florinza Brown - Wilson and Sidney Henderson Brown , stepfather Willie Calvin Wilson Sr , sister Leola Brown , brothers Willie Calvin Wilson Jr and Malcolm Craig Wilson , Nephew Christopher D . Harland and great nephew Malcolm D . Mims . Though she endured great loss , her strength and grace waved .

She leaves behind three loving daughters . Florence Carter , Shapell Carter - Cosey ( Damian ) , Jerri Carter - Osborne ( Eric ) and one son Jerry Carter . Six cherished grandchildren Quendarian Miller , Janerica Miller , Davon Miller , DeMyjae Perry , Karla Perry and Jaden Carter , One great grandson Kendrick Perry . Three step daughters Paula Tillet , Troy Carter , Bettye Miller , one bonus son Mirage Carter and nine step grandchildren . Three sisters Doris Brown , Veola Wilson , Lynetta Harland and one brother Donnie Brown ( Cynthia ) and a host of nieces , nephews , cousins , sister in laws and brother in laws .

Her legacy lives on in the lessons she taught , the warmth she shared and the unconditional love she gave freely . Synda will be deeply missed but forever remembered in every family gathering , every shared meal , every creative work of art and in every loving embrace .Her life was a beautiful testament to love , resilience and devotion to family .

Synda devoted her professional life to early childhood development . She had a natural gift with children , nurturing, patient and full of kindness with the same gentle care she showed her own family . She had a caring spirit and found peace and joy in pottery loving the beauty of creating something meaningful with her hands . Above all else , she treasured her family and friends . She especially enjoyed brunch with her sisters . Moments filled with laughter , love and lifelong bonds .
